David, I had forgotten all about Norton Zip Recovery (NZR). Thanks for reminding me.

The problem isn't the BIOS. I have a bootable BIOS, and I still had to use the procedures in the link below. Thus, there are 2 pieces to the puzzle.

The first piece is boot time support, and can be addressed by EITHER a bootable BIOS, OR one of the Z*pA MBR programs being vended at the linked Web page. Once you get boot support, you can boot your Zip drive to the DOS prompt, but can't get Win95 "all the way" up.

The second piece is Win95 itself, and can be addressed EITHER by the procedures linked to on the Z*pA web site, OR by NZR, OR by whatever Micron is doing - probably much the same as NZR. Do you know if NZR gets Win95 from your existing C: drive, or if it comes with it's own "special" version?
