Micron to Offer 8-Megabyte Imagine 128 Series 2 Video Accelerator
LEXINGTON, Mass., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Number Nine Visual Technology Corp. (Nasdaq:NINE), a world leader in high-performance PC graphics chips and solutions, today announced that Micron (TM) Electronics, Inc., (Nasdaq:MUEI), a leading direct channel manufacturer of high-performance PC systems, is offering the award-winning 128-bit Imagine 128 Series 2 graphics and MPEG video accelerator as standard equipment in their recently announced Powerdigm (TM) XLI, a new line of workstations powered by dual 200-MHz Pentium(R) Pro processors. Additionally, both the 4MB VRAM and the 8MB H-VRAM models of Imagine 128 Series 2 are now available as options for most Micron computers.

The Imagine 128 Series 2 8MB H-VRAM will support true color (32-bit, 16.8 million viewable colors) resolutions at up to 1920 x 1080, increases available OpenGL 3D supported resolutions and offers faster 2D and video performance over that available with the 4MB Imagine 128 Series 2.
