Because he is a moderate. The Dems are so far off the left edge of the universe Bush looks conservative only by comparison. Take John F. Kennedy's inaugural speech from 1961, give it to 100 current college students and ask them if it was written by a Democrat or Republican. Can you guess what 90% of them would say?--MK--
