A stepdaughter living in Nigeria as a missionary mentioned one time that using dried human waste as fuel, as is sometimes practiced in some of the villages there, does have a couple of advantages. Namely, pretty low fuel costs and the avoidance of all that expense for sewage systems.

I think the Sierra Club should send over an expedition to see how that might best be brought back to the U.S.

Doesn't matter anyway, since I understand that Exxon is just a few years now from having one-third of the entire land area of the United States cultivating algae, which should provide enough fuel to replace the coal-fired power plants about to be taken out of production.
