That's only until the people who write the cheques (who usually have little technical knowledge) realize that the MS hype is just that (hype) and their NT servers require much more maintenance than UNIX servers. This is one area where I know where I'm talking about: we are a very large computing center with mostly UNIX systems but we have had to install an NT server for one project. We have nothing but trouble with it. One example is that the NT box requires a reboot weekly to keep running - if not, the system simply locks up. Try calling MS for support, and you're being pushed from one dep't to another so far without any solutions. I could mention others, but won't bother you with too much teck talk. No my friend, the future is UNIX, and SUN is one of the winners. I have lost a lot of money these days on the marked panic, but I still take the opportunity to add to my long position as with todays prices it's simply a bargain.
