That is a tremendous chart. For 30 years, in inflation adjusted dollars, the Federal spending was EXPLODING in comparison to average family income. No wonder we're in trouble.

One would expect that politicians, along with their economics professors, should be smarter than a felt boot and could foresee likely consequences of their actions, but obviously that is not the case.
