Sun is not taking this bad market lying down, so to speak. You know that there are efforts internally to address the current abysmal market in capital non-spending in IT. There is a very critical problem that SUNW has. They have some very talented employees that, if they are cut, will not be there if there is a return to cyclical buying patterns of the past. They have a targeted plan to reduce head count by very close monitoring of the benefits of keeping an employee based on what that employee produces. This is the worst market I have experience in 45 years. I am afraid it will get worse. (Dow 8,500) (NASDAQ 1250) IMHO
