A Quick Word On The ABC Poll By Dirty Harry on General Obviously the MSM is going to run with the new ABC poll showing Obama up by 9. Don't believe it. They used an outragous sample: 38% Republican to 54% Democrat. In the last five presidential elections the widest gap between Dems and Repubs has been 4%. They also oversampled blacks. Something like 16%. Make no mistake, Obama's ahead by a few points but this poll is simply stupid. Here's the good news for today. Mason Dixon has McCain ahead three in VA and MRG has McCain up three in MI. Don't let the media demoralize you. They will do anything for Barry. Anything. UPDATE:This is an excellent and sober analysis of weighting party ID in polls. No ax grinding, just historical precedent. The ABC poll is a joke. pollster.com
