MeshNetworks Receives Experimental License for its 802.11 Peer-to-Peer Access

MeshNetworks, a start-up based in Maitland, Florida, was granted an experimental license by the FCC for demonstrations of its mobile ad hoc peer-to-peer broadband technology in both the 2.4 MHz and 5.7 MHz bands. The FCC's action enables MeshNetworks to conduct large-scale demonstration networks in Orlando/Maitland (FL), Washington, DC, Denver/Boulder, and Dallas/Fort Worth. The license also grants MeshNetworks the ability to simultaneously demonstrate small-scale networks in five different locations anywhere in the US.
