Greed drives the markets and there will come a time when the anti-microsoft/gates/ballmer folks will realize that the time is right to buy the stock in a company they hate. And that will be based on a "value" decision.
For me that's a no-brainer right now and I am a guy who early on believed that the ferocity of the government assault was based on the perception of arrogance and lack of candor of Bill Gates. Also there was a total lack of respect for Joe Klein who is one of the nations leading lawyers who chose not to make the big bucks and work for the government. I remember a "crossfire" TV show several years back in which one of the guests predicted this outcome if MSFT underestimated Joe Klein. If MSFT had been more restrained and more respectful the outcome might have been much different. Certainly a split up of the company wasn't the inevitable ruling. I don't know that much about Judge Jackson but if you saw some of the disingenuous testimony of Gates you can understand why he got pissed off.
Anyway thats all in the past now. The current reality is that MSFT has been driven to a lower price than reason would dictate by the Judges ruling. The likelihood still remains that the ruling will be set aside. Business is good going forward. The stock is a screaming buy. So all of you MSFT bashers, get greedy and get smart and buy this stock.
