WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Brocade Communications Chairman Seth Neiman filed to sell 100,000 shares of the computer networking company, a sale valued at $30 million in the open market, according to a Form 144 the Securities and Exchange Commission released Tuesday.

Neiman planned to sell the shares on March 2, using Goldman Sachs as the broker.

San Jose, Calif.-based Brocade (BRCD: news, msgs) provides switching products for storage area networks, which apply a networked approach to the connection of storage systems and servers.

An SEC Form 144 only shows a filer's intent to sell shares. Actual verification of sales, when they occur, is required in later filings.

There are an estimated 26.7 million shares of Brocade outstanding. The stock rose 8 7/16 to close at 329 15/16 on Tuesday.
