Zander was good but McNealy is better.

Zander claims he's going out on a "high point". Think about that, as you stare at a 52-week low for the stock and your money.

But here's what really has happened: McNealy has lost his entire top management team because the company is on the brink of disaster with a crummy execution history, multiple execution challenges, a bewildering competitive landscape, no earnings, and a steamrollered stock that at this moment is being compared to WCOM on CNBC. At this point it's all but certain that the wrenching changes that are to come will leave the company unrecognizable. You still think you're just waiting for an IT CAPEX turnaound? It's a very commonplace development for the chairman to replace his entire executive management team while waiting for a turnaround in the economy.

The story's over. THEY all live happily ever after, but WE--the shareholders--don't. I'm sure Charles will have something more optimistic to say, as is his way. Just hold on.
