It is always good to keep your eye on the competition. The greatest asset of EMC is its sharp focus on storage, and storage only. DELL and IBM have to spread their energy among many areas, thus detracting from their ability to make significant gains in market share in the storage arena. All the while, EMC spends on R&D to dominate and exploit their niche further. The beautiful thing is storage will never go out of style. Long live the king - EMC.
