<FWIW, Dick Fuld of Lehman Bros took home $490 million during his 15 year tenure that ended with Lehman filing bankruptcy.

It seems like traditional capitalism: people bet big, like 35:1 leverage, and get huge paychecks when they win. They take risks and get rewarded. That's the essence of capitalism.>

Amazing isn't it???? Well, that's the essence of THIS capitalism that the Republicans have propagated in THIS country at THIS time. The CEO bet big with shareholder money and HE won big even though THEY lost HUGE... AND the goverment lost huge.... Lehman shareholders that have been stupid enough to hold their shares all this time LOST IT ALL... while he's worth 1/2 billion? Sadly that is NOT capitalism... it's criminal. The guy is essentially a robber barron... but hell, we don't want to "regulate" these guys, or outlaw this behaviour... that would stifle creativity! Yea, we could use a little stifling of these robber barrons.

That's where we are now... criminals reaping benefits and the country getting soaked with corporate socialism!

Why people making multi-millions in a year can't pay 50% is obscene... why someone making above X (say 10 mill in a year) wouldn't also pay a 10% surcharge above that on the amount over X is also obscene.
