In short: Yes. Linux can. Since Linux's configuration is placed in text files, you can store any number of configuration sets you like. Microsoft only has a better GUI for controlling that stuff. Linux is not there yet with the GUI, but it is easily possible. Did you know, that it is quite simple to change the motherboard of a Linux computer? Typically you don't have to configure anything, because it's plug-and-play. When will Microsoft get that far?
