83-year-old ex-Marine to scale Mount Whitney in campaign against Feinstein mercurynews.com I frequent the Mt Whitney websites as it is one of my favorite hikes. This article was posted today. The guy is actually running against Diane Feinstein. He's got my vote. I may actually try to get up there and get a permit for the trail to see if i can join him. (I'm actually doing a week long solo backpack trip that ends at Mt Whitney in August).
