Setting up a new Win 10 system with a Local Administrative Account ...

... rather than being forced to sign in with a Microsoft Account.

Back in February I noted that "Microsoft is making it harder to use Windows 10 local accounts" and in that post I noted:

"You can set up a local account without turning off your router or turning off the WiFi. For the initial setup, do not connect an ethernet cable. When the computer asks you to connect to a network, click in the lower left corner where it says "I don't have internet" and then on the next page confirm that you want to "continue with limited function". Set up the local account. THEN you can connect the ethernet cable or connect to your WiFi."

I had planned to go that route in setting up a new Win 10 System I purchased on Black Friday which is still in the box ... but this seems to be even easier: On May 5th, 2020 'Patch Lady' Susan Bradley dealt with the issue in a post to the 'AskWoody' site:

>> Patch Lady – can you set up a local – no Microsoft account on 2004?
