<<breathe through your nose -- cost average back into SUNW as you're able and give the certificates to your daughter to hold for you this time>>
JC, thanks, I like that - ha, ha, ha

... for the record: I'm the most cautious I have ever been with equities - 86% cash as of today.

... my content posts (as opposed to most of my posts which have been smart-ass posts) are ignored here ...
I admit I have been wrong many times - but not in the long term ... at least, yet ...
... I sold about half of the 6,400 shares of SUNW I had between late fall and January 1 ... and yes, I did not maximize my profits on those ... (for which I paid a split adjusted 11)
... then I sold the last 3,000 shares in January at 85, and then traded all of them several times that month for another 19 points, so in essence, I sold them for 104 ...
... I have been bearish since January 1 ... and I have been correct ... (although totally wrong about buying 1,000 shares of Abiomed at 67, not far from its high in the 80s).
... I may be wrong about the overall market now, but this is what I do 100% of the time (although as an amateur) ...
... in the spring and summer of 1997, my wife and I put all of our liquid assets in SUNW ... and luckily, it worked out well for us ... I retired at the first of the year ... at 54 ...
... but the discussion here about how great SUNW is or not, is totally beside the point ... the issue is the economy, it's growth, consumer spending, imports, interest rates etc.
... who will seriously engage me on the macro subjects? ...
... were it not for my concerns about such, I would increase my SUNW position of 500s to 2000s immediately.
... what are YOU thinking, and what are your fears and hopes right now?
