That is true. But human life is sacred to ME because...I AM human. Therefore, I have a bias and my bias is for humans. Mind you, there are some humans who are so evil that I would choose a sentient pet to save in an emergency. If I was on a raft with any of many animals I have loved over the years and the raft also carried a psychotic such as ____________ (fill in the blank with any serial killer)-- and I could save only one--guess what??
