Hi hio: I think that article is misleading - I heard what EP said and reported it accurately here. He said that there is a new development, namely the giving away of free PCs. But CPQ is not "joining" that. PC sold the 10,000 Presarios which were given away by the promoting company. He said "nothing is for free" and saw CPQ as being the beneficiary of a new segment of the lower-cost mass market.

Of course, one can extrapolate that if the trend develops then the new AV might want to offer free internet access in conjunction with d free low-cost PCs or Web-boxes and that there would be a mutually beneficial arrangement between CPQ and AV.
