Optimistic outlook?

All i can say is don't believe in anything our government tells us. We are treated as mere sheep, easily manipulated by those with power. We only have ourselves to blame for being short minded and not demanding honesty and accountability.

For example, Greenspan blamed an invisible inflation for jacking up interest rates. This sent markets crashing and billion $$ were lost. Despite no evidence of inflation anywhere (except for oil), many bought into his imaginary threat and defended his royalty.

The markets crashed in the year 2000 after his infamous "irrational exuberance" speech. Yet his royal highness had the gall to blame the collapse of the markets on 9/11, a disaster which took place well over a year later. Again, no one questioned his royal highness.

Now we are in a war, rightly or wrongly, where soldiers are being killed and the pretext for that war was WMDs. Here again, no such threat has ever been found despite all the supposed evidence our leaders reported having. The point isn't whether the war was right or wrong, it is the lies that our leaders use to flock us like sheep. The dishonesty of our leaders (regardless of party) put us in a position of having to defend their lies for love of our country, thereby costing us our own integrity.
