From Briefing - 10:28 ET Compaq (CPQ) 11.84 +0.45 (+4%): -- Update -- Merrill Lynch analyst Steve Fortuna does not think the CPQ news changes the co's story; views positive guidance as a consumer driven, one-time event. Believes this offers potential for DELL to show better top-line and perhaps a penny upside. Also thinks GTW has a better chance of showing a profit in Q4.
