But we do celebrate the lives of Washington and Jefferson and other slaveowners. True...but these people reformed themselves. This fellow Forrest went on to even more bigotry after the civil war. If you're an out of place Yankee maybe you ought to get the hell out of the South and get to a place where you belong and would fit in. NYC, for example. Nah...i don't give a flying f..k if people want to be bigots...anyway, the influx of openminded people is what will eventually change this place...that and more events like the last election. It's a funny thing...whenever I have a conversation with one of the locals about such matters, they always make sure to tell me that they are not prejudiced just before they make some shockingly bigoted remark.
