Cement volumes likely to rise 20% in June Date: 7/2/99 12:35:28 PM Preliminary discussions with cement companies reveal that production and dispatches are likely to be in the region of 8mn ton in June, implying a 20% growth over the 6.65mn ton sold in June '98. Cement prices especially in South India are expected to remain higher due to increase in cement demand. Cement stocks that have reacted in the recent past are likely to rally sharply when CMA releases its June figures. -(Probity Research)
