Britain is the cradle of democracy. During WWII, Winston Churchill pulled the nation from the brink of falling into the clutches of the Nazis. He was considered a hero by every Briton. But during the general elections, he got voted out. Why?

Every Briton who voted against him while at the same time loved and respected him knew that a man who wins a war cannot win peace. Bush is drunk with victory. It is good to be unrelenting on the batttlefield. But unfortunately, he carrried that stance to the negotiating table. He is perceived as howling and barking even on the peace table. The paecemakers are very afraid of his harping on the "doctrine of preemptive strike."

Kerry laid the groundwork by saying that America will respond very firmly "if attacked." He has started to play the politics to bring the negotiaters to the table. But I am confident that once he gets them to the table and gets them moving towards a peace plan in Iraq, he will bring them on board on "premptive strikes against he terrorists". After all Israel conducted pre emptive strike against Iraqi nuclear reactors years ago. But they did not go around and make this a camapign issue with every spin doctor. Instead they acted very quietle and very firmly. Bush does not have that ability. He is a typical Texan cowboy with simplistic view of the world which is "Kill or get killed."
