I see AKAM a winner this year....deals all over the place....will probably declare a split soon...Akamai Forms Deals With Road Runner
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Akamai Technologies Inc. (NasdaqNM:AKAM - news), whose services allow for faster Web content delivery, said on Tuesday it entered a strategic alliance with Road Runner, which provides high-speed Internet access over cable lines, to speed up their network.

Road Runner, the joint venture between Time Warner Inc (NYSE:TWX - news), MediaOne Group Inc. (NYSE:UMG - news), Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news), Compaq Computer Corp (NYSE:CPQ - news) and closely held publishing company Advance/Newhouse, will use Akamai's servers in its network to improve the speed of its Web sites.

``Our relationship with Road Runner will enable us to deliver content and applications to the broadband user base without the traditional slowdown caused by the core of the Internet,' said Jonathan Seelig, Akamai's vice president of strategy and corporate development.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
