Wireless LAN could be a very large market.

LAS VEGAS, NETWORLD+INTEROP, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Intermec Technologies Corporation and Lucent Technologies will demonstrate interoperability of their respective wireless LAN solutions this week at NetWorld + Interop '98 in Las Vegas. Intermec is first in the industry to offer an open systems IEEE 802.11 direct sequence wireless LAN solution with integrated data collection devices. The product offering includes access points, hand-held and vehicle-mount computers, pen-based computers and wireless LAN PC card adapters.

Intermec a full systems provider of wireless LAN solutions, offers a broad line of wireless LAN products, including systems integration, installation and service. The company will showcase its new industry leading architecture for wireless LANs. The Integrated Network Communications Architecture (INCA(TM)) is based on the principles of openness and flexibility. The INCA architecture blends network connectivity and wireless LANs into a complete, plug-and-play system, and even allows roaming across router boundaries and the integration of different radio frequencies into a single system solution.
