Demand and Pricing Remain Strong for WaterColor and WaterSound Beach Home Sites

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2005--The St. Joe Company announced today that reservations were accepted on all eight home sites of a release in the WaterColor community's third phase. The average selling price for the home sites was $1,068,000. Six of the home sites are located on Western Lake and the two non-lakefront home sites border Point Washington State Forest.

At WaterSound Beach, the first 2005 release included twelve interior home sites in the Wind Rose neighborhood. JOE accepted reservations for all twelve at an average selling price of $936,000.

The release at both communities was announced to the public on February 3, 2005. JOE received 94 reservations for the eight home sites at WaterColor and 71 reservations for the twelve home sites at WaterSound Beach. Each reservation required a $10,000 deposit.

"We are very pleased with the strength of this first resort release of 2005, both in terms of interest from potential customers and the pricing we are now achieving at WaterColor and WaterSound Beach," said Peter S. Rummell, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the St. Joe Company. "We continue to be optimistic about the year ahead."
