I've always avoided Mac products because they were generally over priced and under powered.

I remember back when the Apple II came out and if you wanted LISA (assembler), apple wanted you to pay $50 for the compiler. However if you knew the trick, every Apple II had the LISA in the ROM, all you had to do was at the system prompt type "call -151". The unsuspecting user that wanted assembler however, paid $50 for a disk that simply did the system call.

I don't know much about the mac now because I don't use them or write programs for them. All I can wish you is good luck. You might want to try getting help at a free service called experts-exchange.com I'm a guru level person there.
