Vaughn,

I have automatic backup to a "slave" hard drive, but I live in Florida and if a lightning strike blows out the main drive it will likely take out the slave. That's why I also back up my critical data files (As bad as it would be, I could take the 2-3 days to set up my program files all over again, but if I loose the data, I'm out of business) on Zip and, soon, Jaz. It also protects me if the place goes up in smoke due to a fire unrelated to lightning.

The odds are against lightning hitting or the office burning down, but that's what insurance is for: protecting you in the unlikely event of catastrophe.
