Iomega International S.A., a subsidiary of Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM) today announced that European shipments of its Jaz 2GB drive and 2GB disks will begin in mid-March. The Jaz 2GB drive is a two-gigabyte (GB) high-performance storage solution offering high capacity, flexibility and the highest performance available to the market to meet the toughest demands of today's cutting-edge power users. Jaz 2GB drives are also compatible with Jaz 1GB disks, protecting the investment over 1 million existing Jaz drive users.
Iomega is also announcing that effective 1 March 1998 it will reduce the recommended retail price of its original, award-winning Jaz
one-gigabyte drive model to:
The Jaz 1GB internal drive drops from GBP 289 to GBP 249. The external version drops from GBP 369 to GBP 269.
