I am the wrong person to talk to as I have long believed in the legalization of RX... If we run out of prison room and the money to keep drug offenders in prison we might start looking at a way to legalize drugs. Rush would go along with that.

In my brief history I have had occasion to work as a RX counselor with addicts... I have seen what the HUNT for the drug will do. There are Doctors I know who are heroin users. They perform wonderfully IF THEY HAVE THEIR drug.

Addiction is a funny thing and there will be hundreds of articles written on it. The least serious of RX is marijuana but it was thought to be the precursor of a person becoming an addict. Now, we have someone with back surgery becoming and addict... Pain killer prescribed without hesitation by the medical profession and people unable to get off of them

This is just another one of our dilemma's as a society. Where to draw the line... What to do about a problem other than just say NO.

I personally do not think people who need M to circumvent pain should be denied.. AIDS patients at one time were able to eat ... BEFORE the latest drugs this is.

Anyway, this is really something to debate and like so many other debates... it will not be concluded..
