NW, Lynn, and others who were wondering what I did on DELL -
Unfortunately I was on my back in a hospital bed getting intravenous antibiotics when all of the DELL action happened so I did nothing... now down about $1.5M on my DELL holdings from the high at the end of January. I would probably have tried to get out of at least half of my position above 100 and back in near the bottom if I had been around to take any action. But back in December I thought DELL would be at about 80 in February, and it is, so I really have no complaints.

MSD knew how important the revenue numbers for 1Q would be and there was apparently nothing he could do to hit the target. Then again, expectations for DELL may be more realistic after a correction.

A move into the low end business will almost certainly be perceived as a risky plan with big potential revenue implications. DELL's enterprise business did not look good in 1Q, and the squeeze there will get worse going forward. But DELL took a pounding on all of those issues. If it continues to sell off next week I would regard that as a bad sign for performance over the next few months.
