It's "easy," Steve, but politically suicidal.

Bottom line is, broadband cable may try to create a default environment, but it's not going anywhere. On the other hand, I don't see a "dial tone" approach emerging too quickly, either. Obviously, that's what AOL's upset about.

Had to laugh at the failed deal-making attempts between AOL and ATHM, as characterized in the "Upside" interview with ATHM's Jermoluk. What a bunch of children! Your readers might like it, too.
