Kovich,
Many good points. By far the best thing happening to the stock, outside of the rush to find undervalued small/midcaps, is the larger franchise of investment professionals investing in MRVC.
In the past we would anticipate earnings and would accept a few point rise after results were posted only to be disapointed by the weak follow through in the markets created by many short term buyers selling down the stock.
The action today, which showed a great number of instit. trades in excess of 15,000, is a precursor to MRVC swiftly moving above $40, either prior to the secondary next week, or post - during the Network show in 3 weeks. These large purchases, ANd I must emphasize purchases, were based on the huge discount MRVC is trading against its consistent growth rate.
Obviously Noams roadshow in California briefed these buyers with eneough confidence to anticipate great numbers for the current September results. I would guess upon the announced results that shareholders will be equally rewarded with another strong rise in the stock value. My own novice opinion is that the stock is fairly valued at $46 from anticipated earnings over the next 4 quarters at approx 1.30 X 35, and should easily blow through $50 by year end. What do you think stock will do after the NYC show on Thursday. Heres to long term investing!!!
