To paraphrase what I think you said ... you called your broker and said to buy the 400 shares of Rost at the agreed $40 and commission. For us that you are aiming this thread at give us some idea how this goes.

Now that you have completed the order or will finalize in 3 days you will write the covered calls and collect money from whoever intends to buy this stock down the line. Do you both pay a commissiion to the broker?
