I have just read a news report where it stated this, "Pakistani officials denied an Iranian state radio report that bin Laden had been captured 'a long time ago' in Pakistan's border region with Afghanistan." I find articles like this to be very interesting and very telling and I question the timing. Do not get me wrong, because I am angry at what this monster did to thousands of my fellow Americans on September 11th, 2001. But, I do question the timing should we capture him now.

We stood a better chance at capturing him had we not invaded Iraq under false pretenses -- also known as lies -- and concentrated on the real war on terrorism. We should have focused our efforts in Afghanistan with overwhelming support from the world community to capture this monster.

Through this distraction known as the Iraq War, using false pretenses, President Bush angered the world community and squandered any good will directed towards us after September 11th.

Why do I question the timing, America? This is an election year where President Bush has been slipping in the polls, and where he stands a good chance at being defeated by the two front running Democratic candidates. Now, all of a sudden we may be on the verge of capturing this murderer? As much as I abhor Osama bin Laden, I distrust President Bush equally.

Why do I distrust President Bush? Consider this, America: he lied to you. He told you that Saddam Hussein was an imminent threat, when he was not. He told you that Saddam Hussein was also responsible for the attacks that befell our nation on September 11th, when he was not. He told you, America, that Saddam was conspiring to purchase weapons grade uranium from Niger, when clearly he was not. President Bush also lied to your Congress and that, America, is an impeachable offense.

What was the result of all of these lies, America? Close to six hundred of your soldiers are now dead, and thousands wounded, their lives changed forever, and not for the better. Also, family members of our dead soldiers are left behind to grieve and to try to make ends meet for them and their children. We have systematically killed thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children who did nothing to you and me. Also President Bush has never attended one single military funeral. If, all of a sudden, he produces Osama bin Laden as part of his campaign message, will you put your trust in him?

Sure, I would love nothing more than to bin Laden brought to justice in our country, but I am of the opinion that this could have been done had we concentrated on the real war on terrorism. Had President Bush stayed the course, and captured Osama sooner, I would have thanked him for doing so. But, he did not. Also, what makes any of us think that there is not someone ready to take his place? Had we stuck with our original plan, and not invaded Iraq, these murderers known as Al Qaeda could have been broken up.

Now, America, should the Bush administration produce him just before his campaign -- and, yes, that is how much I distrust President Bush -- how will this make your lives better?

There are still millions of you out there without health insurance who are terrorized by that fact. Many of you who are facing even a common illness cannot afford a doctor's visit or a trip to the emergency room. Also, many of you have children who need yearly visits to a doctor for their shots, but are faced with a terrorizing decision on how you are going to pay for them. Will Osama's capture help you here?

There are still millions of senior citizens who are waking up day-to-day having to make the decision on whether to eat or take their medications. This decision terrorizes them. Yes, there was that recently passed Medicare Bill, but it really does nothing to address this problem. Also due to the recent Bush Tax Cuts, Alan Greenspan, this past week, proposed cuts to Social Security and Medicare. America, this is not right. Not by a long shot. Will Osama's capture help seniors here?

There are still millions of Americans who have lost their jobs during this administration and must face a terrorizing fact of how they will make ends meet and put food on their families' table. Will Osama's capture get you jobs?

There are still millions of Americans who are now homeless and have died during this brutal winter. They, too, must have felt terrorized as the cold embraced them and no one came to their rescue. Will Osama's capture put roofs over their heads?

There are still millions in America facing foreclosure or eviction who will soon be cast among the homeless, who many still do not give a damn about, and that includes children. Will Osama's capture stop these foreclosures and evictions?

There is still crime in our streets, fires to fight and, thanks to these Bush Tax Cuts, many police departments and fire departments have faced budget cuts. These are the first responders in any emergency, even a national emergency. America, you deserve protection from crime and deserve fire protection. Will Osama's capture protect you on your streets and in your homes?

Now speaking of those Bush Tax Cuts, that has put a strain on your federal reserves and has sent us back into deficit spending. America, I ask, should another September 11th occur, how are we going to pay for it? Where will the funds come from? Will Osama's capture restore these funds to your federal reserves?

America, I am asking you to think here. Does, President Bush deserve your vote even if he produces Osama bin Laden before this election is decided? After what has happened within this country during his administration, I am of the opinion that he does not.

While I would love nothing more than to see the capture of Osama bin Laden, I would also love to see President George W. Bush defeated and sent packing. I want our nation to heal and the only way that this can be done is to defeat George W. Bush.

Our collective statement, after we're done, should be "Mission Accomplished."
