NN/BAY merger review: lehman.com lehman.com ...the recent history of large acquisitions in the data networking sector which has included disappointments for Ascend/Cascade, 3Com/US Robotics, and even the original Wellfleet/Synoptics combo that created Bay Networks, has underlined the challenges in successfully integrating two large tech companies with different cultures and styles... We should just throw those junky CBX 550s into a dumpster. Stupid merger! <g> Notice how the Cascade merger is panned, while the Stratacom merger is not mentioned. That's a fine assessment, as long as one overlooks the actual market place. Lehman has always had a CSCO bias. Tom
