I knew E-P very well - used to go for walks with him. Yes, he was very proud of his photos of the Nuer au naturel.

Lienhardt was to be my tutor for my B.Litt. He disagreed with its critical approach to the epistemological limits of anthropological theory and thought I should read some nice books about the Dinka. I changed tutors.
