Door watch finally ended at the Capitol. House Repubs emerged from their informational session to say the bill is not exactly what they would have written, but it's far better than the one formulated by Barney the clown Frank and Chris the thief Dodd. Republicans refused to cooperate with Dems unless an Insurance Program for taxpayers was mandated in the statute. When asked if Sen McCain had helped, Rep Boehner said John McCain was most helpful on Friday at the WH, where Pelosi & Reid(possibly Pres Bush as well) would've run over him like a freight train without McCain's presence.

Minority Whip Roy Blunt said the bill is now a work out, not a bail out. Boehner added that at the end of the day no taxpayer funds will be at risk--when the assets are sold, the taxpayers will be paid back.
