Part 2 of response.
What happens to the grid when gasoline supplies are disrupted, and at least some of the neccesary personnel can't obtain gas to get to work, at any time?
Ever seen a military 5ton truck or shuttle bus carrying workers to and from critical emergency relief activities during times of natural disasters??
What happens to the grid when, with civil unrest occurring, some or manny key personnel choose to remain home to protect their families?
They will be ordered under military authority to do their "patriotic" duty and return to work SO WE CAN ALL GET BACK TO NORMAL!!!
What happens to the grid, when heavy transport is so disrupted, that gas and coal is not delivered in sufficent amounts to fire the plants?
Utility Plants, from what I've seen and heard, are fulling incorporating a transportation disruption into their contingency plans. And if it required commandeering equipment and resources, or redirecting transportation resources to accomplish this, it will be done. Again, it all depends on whether people adopt your negative attitude or look at it as doing their part to help everyone else out.
I'm betting the latter attitude will be far more prominent than yours.
(in reality, this may not be a factor, as the military/national guard, at least until their own telecom and comm and control system breaks down)?
Not everything has to be sent via radio or telephone. Get in your vehicle, using your gov't supplied fuel, and cruise your fanny over to deliver a type-written order to the units that need them. Or use your UHF radio systems to report your status.
The permutations are endless
As are your apparent scenarios of helplessness and fear-mongering.
