They did this to me(not that particular reporter) about 18 months ago during the June-July 1998 internet stock explosion. They wrote a dumb article about the frenzy in internet stocks quoting "pro's" on one hand and "small chat room investors" on the other. The chat room folks were made out to be less than intellectual, against the superior analysis of the pro's. The subject was YHOO and it was about 500 points ago.
