A couple thoughts of mine on competition.

1. The fact that many companies want to make money on interactive tv tells me the sector should garner alot of attention in the biz media and that the winners should reap huge rewards.
2. The thinking that competition hurts Actv is only valid if one thinks there is room for only one interactive company. That would be like saying there is only room for one internet portal or ISP or computer hardware manufacturer, etc.
3. As long as Actv's partners believe in their technology Actv will have plenty of programming to interact with and multiple revenue streams to access. So far partners like GI and Liberty, The Box, Fox, and TV Guide as well as AT&T have done nothing to make me think otherwise.
Actv has the partners they need and unique programming enhancing software that the competition does not and will probably end up having to or needing to license.
