from Briefing.com this morning

SUN MICROSYSTEMS (SUNW) 32 1/4 -5/8. Stock is getting a positive recommendation
from Morgan Stanley, while Goldman Sachs has downgraded this major workstation issue. According to Morgan Stanley, it has reiterated its "strong buy" rating on the stock, citing that issue is only trading at 16 times estimated 1997 earnings. The firm has also set a price target of $37 a share for this stock as it feels that it has a strong business outlook at the moment as phone calls to main company customers show that company has substantial orders in the works. According to Morgan Stanley, this is an issue that should be part of everyone's core
holdings. However, on the other side, Goldman Sachs has downgraded issue to its
"recommended list" from its "priority list", citing the price of the issue and a need to rebalance its technology portfolio. This lowering of issue has pushed the stock lower this morning, although issue is attempting a comeback following the Morgan comments.
