I agree.

Other "non-CO2" sources either are too small (solar and wind power may grow but they aren't likely to be big players anytime soon) or don't have enough spare capacity (hydroelectric is a decent sized source, but at least in developed countries you don't have a lot of rivers left to dam).

Good point. Any change, including a massive increase in nuclear energy, takes time. If we need to massively cut CO2 within 10 years to avoid disaster (as some maintain) then we're screwed.
