Back before Obama shoved his version of the HC bill down everyone's gullet, the idea was to take the various plans that the Congress and US Government workers have choices of, with various costs, and spread those choices around to EVERYONE in the US that wanted access to good insurance. The idea was that massive numbers of people and a large variety of programs to choose from, would insure that ANYONE that wanted could buy insurance at a price they could they could afford. Because there would be millions of people wanting access (across state lines and access to every type of plan) that the actual premium costs would go DOWN and the programs offered would in fact, be better than was currently available.

But noooooooooooo. The Adm and Obama went behind closed doors, sent packages of crap to Congress, and Congress proceeded to add more and more crap to bills that weren't even written, and then voted on the whole stinking 2100+ page Abomination, currently referred to as AnObamanation.....

This is a nightmare of all Nightmares.....As only FarLeft Idealogs could concoct.

DId Congress give itself waivers re the health care laws?

Of course. They retain their excellent health care, with a choice of plans.
