"Link or lie. Try providing, you know, actual proof."

It is impossible to provide any proof to someone who insists upon wearing blinders in the process. The proof, however, exists and I've already detailed it to some extent. Millions of blog attacks and smears, a media drenched in articles, every tom dick and combjelly compulsively mocking everything Palin to add to the pile. To deny that, does nothing but expose yourself further as a blatant miscreant and a fraud.

It's exactly as I have characterized it 'a frenzy', and a 'virtual public stoning.'

I don't think Palin is a saint. She has been an effective change agent in Alaska, she has battled the corrupt powers that be, and she entered most challenging political contest in the world when she joined the McCain team. So, in all that, it wouldn't surprise me a bit to find she has caused some sore feelings and has had a few mis-steps, for which those involved are wanting some pay back.

What high ranking official any where who has actually challenged the system to any great degree does not have that circumstance? I can think of no one, can you?

You don't have to prove to me that one or more of these petty grievances couldn't be hammered home as legitimate given the millions that have been spent raising these issues and looking into them. Like possibly firing someone who didn't deserve it or something. Yeah that probably happened like it happens everyday in every town, and in every administration in America; and when it does, the wrongful termination should be corrected when possible. But if you are trying to convince any objective person these petty issues justify what has happened to Palin since the Presidential race, every one of those people would tell you you are full of crap.
