The acquisition is notable as Andiamo is a maker of fibre channel switching gear, which will put Cisco into closer competition with Brocade (BRCD) and McData (MCDT). 7:46AM Taiwan Semi may be offering discounts (TSM) 10.01: We are hearing from traders citing Bloomberg that TSM may be offering discounts to clients who have increased orders; TSM did not confirm a Economic Daily News report that the co is cutting prices for silicon wafers made with older technology, although a co spokesman said that "there shouldn't be any across-the-board decline in prices."
