Hello everyone.

I'm glad to see many familiar faces here.

I'm currently shorting IOM in a small way. I sold short 300 shares at $8.70.

Frankly, I've been surprised by the recent upward movement in IOM the past few days - but not really concerned about my own investment.

The picture just looks so bleak for IOM at this point.

I'm sure that, as has happened what seems to be countless times with IOM, the speculative frenzy will deflate. Of course, I will help it along by pointing to the fundamentals.

I give credit to Heid for having made the difficult decision to initiate the painful but necessary reductions in work force levels.

His emphasis on reinvigorating the Zip product line, however makes me wonder whether Iomega's demise is merely a matter of time. If a new product doesn't materialize soon, it really will be.
