AARP survey... 73% AGAINST legalizing pot.

And of course, while a majority of respondents agreed that adults should be allowed to legally use marijuana for medical purposes if a physician recommends it, no distinction was given whether these people were referring to marinol, the marijuana pill, or smoked pot.

Personally, I'm still waiting for the NIH study, peered reviewed, which proves any medicinal effect of smoked pot over marinol.
